is the center stringer full height? meaning full height from hull to underside of floor or is it a keel? on another note wog is more than likely correct. on my boat the stringers were cut down from 18' to 2' by the mfg to allow port and starboard 48' wells/storage below deck. either way will work.
also, the starboard nonskid will not be much of a slippery issue at all. it's pretty much the same deck style/pattern that comes with most boats strht from the factory. if we were talking just the smooth starboard, then yes, that's a whole nother story, and no bueno i would think of doing something like this ..

re: king starboard the guy who owned my last boat before me made removable floor panels that were great. ran wood runners parallel to the stringers and put tongue-n-groove deck board across them, cut to fit the width of the boat. made a very stable deck and could be removed to get the crap out of the bottom of the boat when necessary.
my stringers had rot in them about 1.5 feet from the transom. from what i could tell, starcraft hadn't sealed the wood from the inside leaving the internal parts of the stringer exposed to moisture and had left air gaps at the bottom of most of the boards. i don't believe the stringers were bedded in resin, just set in place and glassed down.
